Kiko 232 in 304

Danes vam bom pokazala še preostala Kiko lakca iz paketka presenečenja, ki sem ga prejela v začetku leta. Prvi od njiju je Kiko 232 oziroma Sparkle T. Biege Glitter, kot je navedeno na Kiko spletni strani. Gre za prosojen odtenek, ki je poln bleščic oziroma majhih krpic v kožni in roza barvi. Roza bleščice je bilo precej težko fotografirati, zato je druga slika zamegljena, ker so tako bolj opazne. Odtenek sem na fotografijah slojila čez krem Manhattan lak 95E kožne barve, vendar sem ga nosila tudi že samega. Polne prekrivnosti tako ni mogoče doseči, vendar je bil lakec vseeno zelo primeren, saj se mi je takrat precej mudilo, nohte pa sem imela vseeno nalakirane. ;)

Today I will show you the last two Kiko nail polishes from my surprise package, which I recieved in the begining of the year. The first of these is Kiko 232 or Sparkle T. Biege Glitter, as indicated on the Kiko website. It is a translucent shade full of biege and pink glitter or smaller flakies. Pink glitter was quite difficult to photograph, so the second picture is blurred because the glitter is way more noticeable. On the photos I layered this shade over Manhattan 95E creme nude nail polish, but I already wore it by itself as well. It is not fully opaque, but the polish was still very appropriate, because I was quite in a hurry, but my nails were still painted. ;)

Naslednji je Kiko 304 oziroma Silver Chrome, ki je svetlo srebrne barve s foil finišem. Nanesti je bilo potrebno kar 4 sloje, ker ni tako prekriven, kot so običajno podobni laki. Vseeno mi je bil končni rezultat zelo všeč.

The following is Kiko 304 or Silver Chrome, which is bright silver nail polish with foil finish. It was necessary to apply as much as 4 coats, because it is not as opaque as foil finish nail polishes usually are. However I still liked the final result.

Naj vam še enkrat omenim, da mi je lake iz Italije poslala prijateljica in sorodnica Raggio di Luna, ki se je tudi sama opredelila kot "zasvojenko z laki za nohte". =) Na njenem blogu Raggio di Luna Nails pa ne boste našle le lakov, ampak predvsem prekrasne umetnije, ki jih z njimi ustvarja na svojih nohtih. Aly je super punca in paketku je priložila še eno njami italijansko čokolado. Khmmm, bila je odlična in še dobro, da mi jo je uspelo še pravočasno fotografirati! ;)

Aly is great girl and in the package she also included a surprise - very tasty italian chocolate. Khmmm, it was very good, luckily I took a photo of it just in time before it was... Gone! ;)

Na nohte sem najprej nanesla lakec, ki mi je od vseh petih najbolj zanimiv. To je temno rjav odtenek Gold Old Buffy z večjim zlatim in bronastim šimrom, v svoji zbirki še namreč nisem imela nobenega podobnega lakca!

Firstly I painted on my nails the most interesting polish out of the bunch. For me this was dark brown Gold Old Buffy nail polish with golden and bronze glass flecked shimmer. I have nothing similar to it in my collection!

Jessica - Iridescent Eye

Ta lakec naj bi bil zelo podoben slavnemu Chanel Peridot-u, ampak sama ju ne morem primerjati, ker Peridot-a žal nimam. Zanimivo primerjavo sem našla tukaj: KLIK.

This nail polish should be very similar to famous Chanel Peridot, but I can't compare them, because I do unfortunately not own Peridot. But I found very interesting comparison here: CLICK.

Jessica Iridescent Eye lakec me je navdušil zaradi dobre prekrivnosti (uporabila sem samo dva sloja), hkrati pa s tem, kako različno izgleda na sončku, v senci ali pa pod umetno osvetlitvijo. Včasih je bolj zlat, včasih bolj zelen, sicer pa se barve prelivajo tam nekje od bakrene preko zlate in svetlo zelene do turkizne. Čeprav je v steklenički viden tudi temno moder odtenek, ga na nohtih nisem zasledila.

Jessica Iridescent Eye got me excited because of two main things - it is very opaque (it needs only two coats) and because it looks very differently under sun light, in shadow or under artificial light. Sometimes it looks more gold and sometimes more green, but the colors shift from copper, gold and green to turquoise. In the bottle I can see dark blue color too, but on the nails it is not visible.

Upam, da bo Chanel sprožil pravo "duochrome" manijo in da ga bodo posnemali tudi ostali proizvajalci lakov za nohte. :) In ne samo pri ustvarjanju novih in novih kopij Peridot-a, ampak tudi pri drugačnih odtenkih. Če se nam obeta leto takšnih lakov in še prekrivnih po vrhu, nimam nič proti, juhu! =)

I hope that Chanel is going to start a "duochrome" mania and that other nail polish companies would start to create more and more similar polishes. And not just "dupes" of Peridot, but other shades as well. If this would be a year of duochromes that are very opaque at the same time - I really wouldn't mind that! =)

Kiko 255 and 278

Včeraj sem vas vprašala, kateri lakec iz paketka presenečnja bi rade videle najprej. Vse ste si želele videti vsaj enega izmed vijolkotov, zato vam bom danes pokazala kar oba! :)

Yesterday I asked you which nail polish from the surprise package you would like to see first. All of you wanted to see at least one of the two purples, so that's why I'm showing you both! :)

Prvi izmed njiju bo št. 255, na Kiko spletni strani pa sem našla še njegovo ime - Violet Microglitter, ki kar dobro opiše ta lakec. V vijolični bazi se namreč skrivajo zelo drobne holografske bleščice. Na moje veliko presenečenje je ta lakec zelo prekriven, zadoščala sta samo dva sloja. Pri podobnih bleščičastih lakcih tega namreč nisem vajena in zato je to zame še dodaten plus! Sicer je bil lakec precej gost, vendar sem ga vseeno lahko lepo nanesla. Ko se je posušil, tekstura ni bila čisto gladka, vendar jo je zgladil en sloj nadlaka.

First one is Nr. 255 and on the Kiko website I found that this shade is also called Violet Microglitter. The name describes the polish well, it's violet with tiny holographic glitter particles. To my surprise it's very opaque, it only needed two coats. I'm not used to that with similar glittery polishes and that's a big plus for me! It was a bit on the thick side, but still managable. When it dried the texture was a bit bumpy, but one coat of top coat smoothed it out.

Sledi pa še drugi vijolko, gre za odtenek št. 278 z imenom Violet Orchid Microglitter. Ta lakec je svetlejši od prejšnjega, vsebuje pa večji šimer nepravilnih oblik. V živo je malenkost bolj rdeč in vsebuje malo manj modre, kot izgleda na fotografijah, ampak moj fotoaparat te barve očitno ne pozna. ;) Za popolno prekrivnost so potrebni trije sloji, posuši pa se z lepim sijajem.

Next is the second purple nail polish, this is color Nr. 278 a.k.a. Violet Orchid Microglitter. It is much lighter than previous one and it contains larger glass flecked shimmer. In reality it is a little bit more red and less blue as it seems on the photos, but my camera obviously doesn't recognize that color. ;) It needs three coats for full opacity and dries with very glossy finish.

Na naslednji fotografiji sem poskušala ujeti njegov rahel duochrome finiš, vendar mi to ni najbolje uspelo... V steklenički je malenkost bolj viden kot na nohtih.

On the next photo I tried to capture it's slightly duochtome finish, but I wasn't very successful at that... In the bottle duochrome is more noticeable than on the nails.

Kateri od teh dveh lepotcev vas je bolj prepričal? Jaz se med njima nisem mogla odločiti že med sestavljanjem seznama želja, sedaj pa se mi zdi odločitev še celo težja. Oba sta namreč čudovita! =)

Which one of this two beauties do you prefer? I couldn't decide between them even when I was puting them on my wishlist, but now I feel it's even harder to decide, because they are both gorgeous! =)

Surprise package

Ta teden sem iz Italije prejela čudovito presenečenje - paketek, poln Kiko lakcev, za piko na i pa je bil zraven še Golden Rose nadlak s holografskimi paličicami!

This week I recieved a wonderfil surprise from Italy - it was a package full of Kiko nail polishes and there was also Golden Rose holographic bar glitter!

Že nekaj časa sem si zaradi fotografij na ostalih blogih želela Kiko lakca 255 in 278, ki sem ju imela tudi na seznamu želja, Raggio di Luna pa je to opazila in mi željo tudi izpolnila, zraven pa v paketek dodala še tri druge lepotce! Raggio, HVALA!! =)) Na zgornji fotografiji si od leve proti desni sledijo: Kiko 232, Kiko 278, Golden Rose 70, Kiko 255 in Kiko 304. Ko bi le bila njihova imena malo bolj izvirna...

Because of some beautiful photos I saw on other blogs I really wanted to get Kiko 255 and 278 nail polishes and they were on my wishlist. Raggio di Luna noticed that and she fulfilled my wish and she also added three other gorgeous polishes! Raggio, THANK YOU!! =)) On the upper photo from left to right there are: Kiko 232, Kiko 278, Golden Rose 70, Kiko 255 and Kiko 304. I only wish they all had more original names...

Komaj čakam, da jih preizkusim! Vendar je odločitev, kateri lakec bi nosila najprej, kar precej težka. Zato mi prosim pomagajte in mi povejte, katerega od njih bi rad videle najprej. ;)

I can't wait to try all of them! But the decision, which one to put my nails first, is really hard, so please help me and tell me, which nail polish would you like to see first. ;)

My favorite shimmery Christmassy reds

Tu je nekaj swatchev mojih najljubših šimrastih rdečih odtenkov, ki so čudoviti in hkrati primerni za božične manikure. Njihova skupna lastnost je tudi ta, da so zelo prekrivni in bi pri večini skoraj zadostoval že en sam sloj, vendar vedno nanesem vsaj dva.

Here are some swatches of my favorite shimmery red nail polishes which are gorgeous and very suitable for Christmas manicures. The next thing they all have in common is that they are very opaque, so I could almost get away with one coat of each. Still I always use at least two.

Absolutely Alice effect

Ko sem nanesla dve plasti modrega bleščičastega laka Milani Blue Flash, sem dobila idejo. Odtenek bleščic se mi namreč zdi zelo podoben modrim bleščicam v zelo iskanemu OPI-jevemu Absolutely Alice laku, vendar manjkajo zlate bleščice. Zato sem malo pobrskala po svoji zbirki in na plan je pokukal lakec FCC št. 72, ki v prozorni bazi vsebuje manjše zlate in modre bleščice, nanesla pa sem ga 2 plasti. Ravno prav za efekt, ki sem ga želela doseči! :)

When I did 2 coats of Milani Blue Flash nail polish, which is opaque blue glitter, I got an idea. In my oppinion the colour of the glitter seems very similar to the blue glitter in the very hard to find OPI Absolutely Alice nail polish. But there is no golden glitter, so I checked my nail polish collection and I picked up FCC nail polish in number 72. It contains smaller golden and blue glitter in clear base. I did two coats - that was just right for the effect I wanted to achieve! :)

Končnega rezultata na žalost ne morem primerjati z Absolutely Alice lakom, ker ga nimam v svoji zbirki. Ne vem, kako blizu sem prišla originalu (verjetno ne prav zelo), vendar mi je modro zlat efekt vseeno zelo všeč. Kakšen pa se zdi vam?

Unfortunately I can't compare the final result with Absolutely Alice nail polish, because I don't own it. So I don't know how close to the original I got (probably not very close), but I still love the blue golden effect. And how do you feel about it?

Layering Combo

Nekaj časa nazaj sem na enem nohtu preizkusila Color Club lakec Total Mystery, vendar je bil za moj okus veliko preveč prosojen, da bi z njim poskušala doseči popolno prekrivnost. Zato sem ga slojila čez prekrivni moder krem lak Essence Chuck. Rezultat - šimrasto modri nohti z vijoličnim pridihom.

A while ago I tried Color Club Total Mystery nail polish on one of my nails, but in my oppinion it was too sheer, so I didn't even bother to reach full opacity only with it. So I layered it over opaque blue nail polish Essence Chuck with creme finish. Result - shimmery blue nails with purple sheen.

Čez nekaj časa me je manikura pričela dolgočasiti, zato sem dodala še bleščičast lak Essence Troy, ki vsebuje modre, vijolične in srebrne bleščice v prosojni osnovi.

After a while this manicure became boring to me, so I added glittery nail polish over it. This was Essence Troy, it contains blue, purple and silver glitter in a clear base.

Kakšen se vam zdi končni rezultat? Meni je bil zelo všeč! :)

Raggio di Luna Nails

Imate rade umetnine na nohtih? Jaz jih obožujem, vendar ponavadi ne najdem dovolj časa ali volje, da bi se lotila ustvarjati na lastnih nohtih. No ja, nalakiram jih že, to pa je večinoma kar to... Moja dobra prijateljica in sestrična pa ima tudi tisto umetniško žilico, ki meni manjka. Že nekaj časa ustvarja in riše po svojih nohtkih, sedaj pa je pričela pisati tudi svoj blog, ki ga z veseljem prebiram in si sprostim oči. Saj veste, kako to gre. =)

Do you like nail art? I love it, but I usually don't find enough of time or I just don't feel like doing it on my own nails. I paint them with a pretty nail polish and mostly that's just it... But my very good friend and cousin has that great talent that I lack. She creats perfect nail art manicures and she just started her own blog. I really like to read it and I rest my eyes on her photos. You know, how that goes, right? =)
