Funky French

Že nekaj časa sem si želela narediti francosko manikuro, vendar si je nisem zaradi preveč zabarvanih nohtov. Danes pa sem se odločila da vseeno ustvarim nekaj podobnega.

Uporabila sem lakce:
- moder: Misa - Blue Over a Boy
- srebrn: Color Club - What a Drag
- svetlo moder: Color Club - Take me to Your Chateau

I have wanted to wear a french manicure for a while now, but it was impossible because my nails are very stained. So in the end, today I've decided to do a funky french manicure.

Nail polishes that I have used:
- blue: Misa - Blue Over a Boy
- silver: Color Club - What a Drag
- light blue: Color Club - Take me to Your Chateau

Barry M cosmetics

Pred kratkim sem naročila nekaj Barry M izdelkov v spletni trgovini ličila.si. Med drugim so se v moji košarici znašli tudi lakec Cobalt Blue, svetleče črtalo za ustnice in oči v roza barvi in čudežna šminka. Na žalost sem doživela reakcijo na zadnja dva izdelka. Po uporabi šminke sem imela pekoč občutek na ustnicah, po testiranju barvice pa se mi je oko solzilo še celi dan kljub temu, da sem izdelek takoj odstranila. Ker nimam izkušenj s preobčutljivostjo na kozmetične izdelke, me je to precej presenetilo. Prepričana sem bila, da izdelkov ne bom več mogla vrniti, vendar so me v spletni trgovini zelo prijetno presenetili in mi v zamenjavo ponudili tri lakce po moji izbiri. Odnos do strank je res odličen in z moje strani si zaslužijo vse pohvale. :)

Couple of days ago I ordered some Barry M cosmetics in online shop from our country called licila.si. Among other stuff I got Cobalt Blue nail polish, shimmering eye and lip crayon in pink and magic lip paint. Unfortunatelly I got an allergic reaction to the last two products. My lips were stinging after I used the lip paint and after I tested the crayon my eye was watering for the whole day despite of the fact I removed the crayon right away. I had no experiences with reactions to make up like this before. I was sure, that I won't be able to return the products, but the people from this online shop were very nice to me and they offered me an exchange - three nail polishes of my choice. They really have great costumer service! :)

Na sledeči fotografiji pa so trije lakci, ki sem si jih dobila v zameno za izdelka, ki mi nista ustrezala. Izbrala sem Mint Green, Pure Turquoise in Red Black.

Essence - Hang Loose

Že od včeraj moje nohte krasi najnežnejši izmed odtenkov v novi Essence kolekciji Surfer Babe, Hang Loose. Gre za zelo svetlo krem pastelno vijolično barvo s pridihom sivke. Nikoli si ne bi mislila, da mi bo iz te kolekcije najbolj všeč ravno ta odtenek. :)
Zelo slabo pa sta se pri meni odrezali elastiki za lase iz te kolekcije. Včeraj sem ju nosila kot zapestnici, raztegnila sem ju samo takrat, ko sem ju dala na zapestje, potem pa nič več. V roku treh ur sta mi počili obe, eno sem izgubila, drugo pa sem našla na faksu na mizi. Kaj bi šele bilo, če bi z njima dejansko poskušala speti lase... :S

From yesterday I have the lightest colour from new Essence collection Surfer Babe on my nails, the polish is called Hang Loose. This is very light pastel lavender creme. I would never thought this would be my favourite from this collection. :)
But my two hair ties from this collection were really bad quality. Yesterday I wore them as bracelets. I stretched them only when I put them on and within three hours both of them were torn apart. I lost one, but I found the second one on my desk. If I tried to put them in my hair, I would probably tear them apart at my first try... :S

Essie - Turquoise & Caicos

Essie - Turquoise & Caicos je čudovit turkizen odtenek. Moti me edino neprekrivnost, saj so na sliki debele tri plasti pa se še vedno vidijo lise.

Essie - Turquoise & Caicos is a perfect turquoise creme polish, the only thing I don't like about it is that it took three thick coats for the opacity shown on the photos and the coverage is still not perfect.

Essence - Surfer Babe LE

Tokrat imam za vas fotografije lakcev iz nove Essence kolekcije Surfer Girl. Kupila sem le tri od štirih, četrti mi žal ni bil najbolj všeč. Sledijo fotografije odtenkov v tem vrstnem redu: moder 04 The World's Coolest, siv 02 Pointbreak in vijoličen 03 Hang Loose.

Lakci bi lahko bili malenkost bolj prekrivni, vendar mi je končen izgled vseeno zelo všeč. Kako pa je ta kolekcija všeč vam, drage bralke?

I think nail polishes could be more opaque, but I still like the end result. And what do you think about this collection, dear ladies?

Essence - into the Wild - Zulu with konad

Essence - Zulu je del Into the Wild kolekcije. Lak naj bi imel mat finiš vendar je izgled bolj plastičen, kot mat.
Ker me sama barva ni prepričala, sem ga poskušala malo poživiti s konadom, nato pa sem nanesla še nadlak.

Essence - Zulu is a part of the Into the Wild limited edition. This polish was supposed to have a matte finish, but it looks more plastic than matte.
The color by itself did not really convince me so I added some konad and topped it with a top coat.

Color Club - Magic Attraction

Ta lepotec je krasil moje nohte praktično 4 dni, od ponedeljka do četrtka. Ker sem imela bolj malo časa za urejanje nohtov, je ostal na njih dlje časa, kot je bilo pričakovano, in super se je odrezal!
Najprej sem nanesla eno plast China Glaze Millennium, potem pa sem dodala še dve plasti Magic Attraction lakca. Rezultat mi je izredno všeč, moji nohti pa so bili kljub svetlejši barvi še vedno zelo vpadljivi zaradi izredno močnih holografskih bleščic, ki so vidne tudi v senci in pod umetno osvetlitvijo.
Kako vam je všeč ta lakec? Če ga imate v svoji zbirki, ga nosite samostojno ali pa spodaj nanesete še prekriven lak?

This beauty was on my nail for 4 days, from Monday till Thursday. I didn't have time to make a new manicure, so this polish was on my nails much longer than I expected. And I loved it very much on my nails!
First I put one coat of China Glaze Millennium nail polish on my nails and then I did two coats with Magic Attraction. I like the result very much and even the lighter colour my nails were still very noticeable because of the strong holographic glitter. It shines even in shadow or under artificial light.
How do you like this polish? If you have it in your collection, do you wear it alone or do you use opaque nail polish underneath as I did?

Essence - Chocolate Shake and Iced Chai Latte

Zadnja dva tedna sta bila za naju zelo naporna, zato nisva imeli veliko časa za pisanje bloga. Ampak se bova potrudili, da bova to popravili! :)
Danes imam za vas fotografiji dveh Essence lakcev iz starejše kolekcije Creamylicious, ki sta mi zelo všeč. To sta temnejši Chocolate Shake z bakrenim šimrom in svetlejši Iced Chai Latte s srebrnim šimrom. Ali vam je kateri od njiju ljubši ali sta vam všeč oba? :)

The last two weeks we were very busy and we didn't have much time to write a blog, but we will try to fix this! :)
Today I will show you photos of two Essence polishes from older Creamylicious collection, that I really love. Those are the darker Chocolate Shake with copper shimmer and lighter Iced Chai Latte with silver shimmer. Which one do you prefer? Or do you like both? :)

Comparison: Zoya - Ibiza and Essence - Deep Blue Sea

Anček me je prosila, če bi lahko primerjala zgoraj omenjena odtenka, zato je tu obljubljena primerjava. ;) Na sredinec in mezinec sem nanesla Zoyo, na kazalec in prstanec pa Essence lakec.

Anček asked me to do a comparison between mentioned polishes and here it is. ;) I put Zoya on my middle and little fingernails and Essence on my index and ring fingernails.

Na prvi fotografiji je ena plast vsakega od lakcev in vidna je razlika - Deep Blue Sea je svetlejši in manj prekriven kot Ibiza.

On the first photo there is one coat of each polish and you can see the difference - Deep Blue Sea is lighter and less opaque than Ibiza.




Na naslednji sliki pa sta dve plasti lakcev in razlika med njima je že mnogo manj očitna. Na fotografiji je to sicer slabše vidno, vendar je Deep Blue Sea za odtenek svetlejši in bolj moder, pa tudi šimer je malo bolje viden, kot pri Ibizi. Če niste ravno nore na temno modre odtenke, ne potrebujete obeh, vendar se jaz zagotovo ne bi odpovedala nobenemu. :)

On the second photo there are two coats of each polish and the difference between them is not that obvious anymore. You can't see that very well on the photo, but Deep Blue Sea is slightly lighter and more blue than Ibiza. Blue shimmer is more noticeable at Deep Blue Sea too. If you are not a fan of dark blue nail polishes, you don't need both, but I wouldn't want to be without any of them. :)




Tiana je vprašala tudi, kako se pri konadiranju obneseta Magnetic holografska lakca, predstavljena TUKAJ. Spodaj je fotografija, vijoličen Spect. Stone ima po pričakovanju veliko boljši odtis in je na levem nohtu, črn Shimmering Titanium (na desnem nohtu) pa ima zelo slab odtis in zato po mojem mnenju ni najbolj primeren za konadiranje. Je pa zato ta odtis veliko bolj holografski od levega.

Tiana wanted to know if my two Magnetic nail polishes are good for konading (you can see them HERE). Purple Spect. Stone on the left is much better, the image is very good and clear. But I didn't like the black Shimmering Titanium on the right, because the image is very pale, subtle and it didn't transfer well. But the holographic effect is much better here than on the left.

S-he 466

Zopet imam za vas fotografije manikure, ki je še nisem objavila, a sem jo nosila že nekaj časa nazaj. Na nohtih imam namreč še kar Zoya Ibizo, ki po treh dnevih še vedno super izgleda! :)
Osnova na sledečih fotografijah je S-he 466, siv lakec, ki ga zlato zelen šimer spremeni skoraj v olivno barvo. Dodala sem vzorček z Essence ploščice in Essence Love of My Life zlatim lakcem, na koncu pa sem vse skupaj premazala še z Essie MAY nadlakom. Mogoče bi bilo bolje, če bi zadnji korak izpustila, kaj pravite?

I will show you one of my previous manicures today. I'm still wearing Zoya Ibiza though, after 3 days my manicure still looks great! :)
Base colour on my next photos is S-he 466, gray nail polish with gold and green shimmer. It almost looks olive green to me which I love. I added a design from Essence image plate and Essence Love of My Life golden nail polish, which is great for stamping. I topped it with Essie MAY top coat, but I think it would be better if I didn't, right?

Magnetic - Shimmering Titanium and Spect. Stone

Za vas imam nekaj fotografij prejšnjih manikur, ki jih še nisem objavila. Parokeets so me TUKAJ navdušile nad znamko Magnetic, za katero prej sploh nisem vedela, da jo prodajajo pri nas. Seveda so tudi mene mikali holografski odtenki, ampak sem si zaradi višje cene (6 € za lakec) zaenkrat privoščila samo dva.

I have some photos of my previous manicures for you today, which I still haven't posted. HERE at Parokeets I have seen Magnetic nail polishes, a brand which I didn't know they sell here. Of course I wanted to have all of their holos, but because they are a bit expensive (6 € per bottle), I bought only two of them for now.

Prvi je Shimmering Titanium, črn holografski odtenek. Malo me spominja na Color Club Revvvolution, vendar je slednji svetlejši in bolj siv. Na umetni svetlobi je Shimmering Titanium veliko bolj holografski, na sončku pa morda malenkost manj. Prvi sloj še ni bil dovolj prekriven, zato sem nanesla dva.

First is Shimmering Titanium, black holographic colour. It reminds me of Color Club Revvvolution, but Revvvolution is lighter and more grey. In the artificial light Shimmering Titanium is much more holographic, but in the sun maybe a little bit less. First coat was not enough, so I did two coats.

Naslednji je Spect. Stone, temno vijoličen holo lakec. Pri nanosu sem bila izredno presenečena, saj še nikoli nisem videla tako pigmentiranega holografskega odtenka, niti moj Color Club Wild at Heart ni tako prekriven! Na fotografiji je samo ena plast, meni izgleda popolno.

Next is Spect. Stone, warm dark purple holo. I was blown away, I have never seen so pigmented holographic nail polish, not even Color Club Wild at Heart! This is only one coat and it looks perfect to me.

Zoya - Veruschka (glossy) and Zoya - Ibiza

Colette in Jackie S. sta mi svetovali, naj Veruschko premažem še z glossy nadlakom. Meni je bila že mat verzija zelo zelo všeč, ampak vseeno sem bila radovedna, kako bo izgledal ta lakec s sijajem. In potem je sledil šok! Ta manikura je bila v živo še 100x lepša, kot pa se mi je zdela na ostalih fotografijah! Enostavno čudovito! :)

Colette and Jackie S. commented that I should put a glossy top coat over Veruschka. I liked the matte look very very much, but I was curious about the glossy version too. And then I was shocked! It looks sooo much better that I've seen on other photos before! It's gorgeous! :)

Sledi pa še fotografija današnje manikure, seveda je takoj prišla na vrsto še Ibiza. Na fotografiji sta dva sloja, posneta je z bliskavico. Načrtujem še primerjavo med tem odtenkom in Essence SYF Deep Blue Sea, vendar zaenkrat še nisem imela časa...

Next is my NOTD, of course I had to try Ibiza right away too. There are two coats on the photo and the photo is taken with flash. I plan to do a comparison with this colour and Essence SYF Deep Blue Sea, but I didn't have much time 'till now. So stay tuned! ;)

Sally Hansen - Uptempo Plum

Sally Hansen - Uptempo Plum je eden izmed lakcev, ki sem jih dobila v izmenjavi s Sylvio, Odtenek je črn z vijoličnim šimrom, ki zaživi na sončku, ki pa ga danes ni, tako da so slike samo s flashem.

Sally Hansen - Uptempo Plum is a wonderful dark vampy polish, the base is black and it has a lot of purple shimmer that you can not really see on the photos because there is no sun around here today, so the pictuires are all taken with flash.





I also have a question for all our USA readers. I'm really lemming OPI - Damone Roberts 1968 and I'm wondering if anyone would be so nice to order it for me, I can pay by PayPal or make it a swap.

Surprise gift

Danes me je doma čakalo nekaj čudovitega!
Moj fant me je zelo lepo presenetil, dobila sem darilo. No ja, ne samo eno, ampak kar dve! :) Verjetno si že mislite, za kaj gre! ;)
Ja, dobila sem dva lakca, in sicer moji prvi Zoyi! :D
Nekako imam probleme s skrivanjem navdušenja! :D Očitno! :D
Na naslednjih fotografijah sta moji novi steklenički Ibize in Veruschke, na zadnji pa moja še skoraj sveža manikura.
Ali ni super izbral? Jaz sem totalno navdušena! =))

Today there was something beautiful waiting for me at home!
My boyfriend surprised me and I got a gift. Well, not only one, but actually two gifts! :) You probaby already know what this is about! ;)
Yes, I got two nail polishes, my first two Zoya-s! :D
And now I have some problems trying to hide my excitement! :D Obviously! :D
On the next two photos there are my new bottles of Ibiza and Veruschka and on the last there is my new manicure.
Didn't he choose great two colours? I'm totally thrilled! =))

Sally Hansen - Wet Cement

Seveda sem morala takoj sprobati enega izmed novih lakcev. Odločila sem se za krem siv lak Sally Hansen - Wet Cement. Barva mi je na meni zelo všeč, in in bo zelo kmalu spet prišla na vrsto, saj se mi zdi presenetljivo pomladna.

I had to try out one of the polishes right away so I picked Sally Hansen - Wet Cement to be the first one. It is a creme gray shade and I really like it, I even think it is the perfect gray for spring so it will be on my nails again very soon.

Že kar nekaj časa nazaj sem prejela paketek od Sylvie z bloga Wizards of Bling, vendar sem žal do paketka prišla šele sedaj, ker mi ni bilo doma. V paketku je bilo kar nekaj čudovitih lakcev, ki se jih bom potrudila čimprej poslikati.

Almost two weeks ago I received a big package from Sylvia @ Wizards of Bling, but unfortunately I wasn't at home so I just got it now. The package contained a lot of really wonderful polishes so I am very grateful to you Sylvia and I will try to swatch them all as soon as I can.
